RE: Gear and fd ratio's for 016 tranny

Little late with this message. I think the 4kq US code transmission has
ratios of:
1 3.60
2 2.13
3 1.36
4 0.99?
5 0.73
FD=4.11
Work it out. using approximately 906 revs/mile with 205x50x15 Dunlop SP 8000
tire and a radar indicated 66 mph @ 3000 rpm.

Bruce

P.S. don't figure tire circ. using pi*D. It will be wrong. Check the tire
manufacturers specifications!

Ok, that makes some sense. The 84 4kq came with the 6E 016 with:

1-3.6
2-2.13
3-1.46
4-1.07
5-.83
fd-4.11

I am guessing the US 016 has around a .78 5th.
