RE: headlight bulbs..

Back when I was doing PDI's on new cars (before Aug 88) they came with 2
stickers on paper backing that could be peeled off and attached. Both
sticker were identical and list engine codes, trans codes, diff codes, paint
codes, interior color codes, production dates and option codes. 1 was
intended to go in the front cover of the warrant booklet and 1 was intended
to be stuck on the inside on the trunk lid. They came with a corner peeled
back ad stuck to the inside of the trunk lid , kind of dangling there until
the sales staff stuck them on the trunk lid and in the warranty book. I
would get complained at if I stuck the one to the inside of the trunk lid
because the sales staff could never find the other in the glove box were I
would put it and the customer would not get one in the warranty book. They
of course couldn't leave the warrant book in the car so I could stick it in
there. If I left it dangling on the trunk lid then the sale staff would
loose both stickers and the customer would still not have a copy. I usually
just stuck them on and let sales grumble.

the coupe lid in the attic has a white paper sticker with
the paint
code(s) on it. That's also where my 83 5kt was marked,
though how I
figured out the name of the colour I have no idea. Maybe at
a paint
store. I just used that quart to paint my back door and
under where my
new car parts shelves went last week. Anyway, that sticker
doesn't look
too sturdy, so mebbe it goes missing sometimes. Or they
just hide them
		somewhere else these days.

Cashmere grey? The only cashmere I have is light brown
(it's a fur
		collar, not a sweater)
