It's an interesting concept. Up until now, CVTs haven't been thought of for
use in high hp applications. It will be interesting to see Audi come up with
a technology that could be used with an engine like the 2.7T or 4.2. Still,
when you consider the hp rating here, the 1.8T could be a candidate
depending on the setup (180hp max in the A4 in Europe). Either way, it makes
owning an automatic very attractive, once reliability has been established.

Hmmmm Multitronic S4 wagon sounds like my ultimate family hauler.
