No electrical power in the car

I suspect that the voltage regulator or brushes are kaput. Correct? Orcould
it be that the battery just died? But then why would not the carrun with
the engine turning the alternator?Could it be related to the fuel pump
(buzzing) shorting out myelectricals and corrupting the whole system?Does
anyone have the part number handy for a voltage regulator?How long can the
car run (all lights/ accessories off) on a singlecharge of battery?


Sounds like an alternator problem. BTDT... Mine was about 60 miles from
home when it died. Grabbed a fully charged battery and headed for home with
all accessories off that I could. I was able to drive it the whole way.
Lights, heater, and such will drain it much quicker. Try a charged battery
and see what happens.
