RE: FS: '87 4kq Turbo

Well Taka,

I have to agree with Todd and Gary a little bit here. I don't think they
were necessarily bashing the 5ks, but I'd agree with them that weight is a
huge disadvantage in the type-44's and some of it's suspension setup too.
Sure, things can be done to even things out on both ends. Slap a turbo
motor in a 4kq with stiff shocks or put coil-overs on a 5ktq + chip, etc....

Well, for daily driving, either way you are going to make a compromise, and
I'd agree that if I were to drive cross-country.....and I've done it SEVERAL
times now, that I would choose the 5ktq ANY day over a 4000. I think Todd
would as well. They are much queiter and more comfortable (with the
exception of Adam's!) and are more suitibky geared for such driving (that's
what they were built for). Anyways, not sure if I'm making sense here, but
I think a 4000 with a turbo motor would be a screamer for a track car! I'd
rather drive it than my 200 which handles like a whale (needs shocks!). The
4000 is just more responsive with that sorta thing. Anyways, if my car had
$$$$ in mods, sure, a type-44 might be a serious contender.... ie. Ken
Bennet's with the 18" slicks and VERY insanely stiff suspension (ie car does
not roll!).

Now, comparing Porsche 951 or Lancer Evo IV..... you are comparing apples to
oranges, aren't you???? A stock 951 will blow either off the road, and an
Evo IV will blow all the above off the road, and then some.
