Agreed,
Having had similar experiences + education, the scenarios presented and
even modeled by NHTSA are idealized (if such a term applies here, perhaps
"sanitized" fits better) conditions. But they represent a "reasonable"
model of what would happen in similar circumstances, and all things being
relative, a similar RELATIVE model of what to expect in most other
circumstances (i.e. doesn't really show what would happen should you
collide with say, an Expedition). In the just imagined case, even the
latest Audi's (all 4 or 5 * performers) would PROBABLY not fare too well
relative to the occupants of the Expedition.
