Auto tranny fluid

any BTDT on the 100CSQW automatic transmission fluid checking/changing???
my 1st issue is that I go to check the fluid and instead of a dipstick, there's
only a little plug ther.....what gives???

also, the owners manual and all-data specify different amounts to put in....
any feedback is as usual, gratly appreciated...
