I just realized something is strange w/ this subject line-
what is a '96 A6qt? There's no such thing as a turbo quattro
A6, unless it's a turbodiesel.

Call your Audi dealer's service department.  They can look this information
up and tell you whether any recalls and campaigns has or has not been
performed on your car (based on the VIN).
