Re: Euro Lights Hi Beam Stays On



I don;t your car or its wiring conventions, but my experiences might
help shed a tiny glimmer of light at least.  One is that (in the old
days at least) many Audi switches, and certainly the headlight ones,
switch to *ground* when off, not just "no voltage".  Second is that the
typical Bosch relays like I play with (scavenged parts) switch "on" at
about 8 or 9 volts but do not turn "off" until 5-6 volts.

All this meant in my example is that two relay coils in series between a
12 v sourse and ground would cause either to stay of once triggered
(since it would have just over 6 volts across its coil)

Just my 2c, less inflation since the early eighties...
