94 100 p/s hose -- any BTDT?

I will be replacing the high pressure p/s hose on my 94 100cs q shortly.

It looks ugly.  It attaches to the p/s rack right behind the brake MC.

Any BTDT?  Mr. Bentley says to remove the MC, for obvious reasons, I'd 
rather not.  Removing the MC will turn a 30 minute job into a 4 hour job.
