'91-90q20v cold start issues

As the weather gets colder here in Chicagoland, I'm experiencing something
new in the 91 90q20v: cold start problems.

Have to actually crank it for several seconds before it catches and starts
up.  This is new to me--didn't happen until a few days ago, and doesn't
happen at all on my 4kq.

What's going on here?

                               Windows NT crashed.
                               I am the Blue Screen of Death.
                               No one hears your screams.
