Leaking heater core

Hi all,

I thought I'd update the list on this discussion- I've received a number of
replies, about half of which say 'the stuff's OK, do it' and the other half
say 'do the repair properly'. As Bentley says you need to take the whole
dash out of the car to fix it, my workshop is the parking lot in front of
my apartment building and it's pretty cold here in Holland, I'm not going
to fix it properly this winter. A reply mentioning alu powder as a repair
procedure sounds promising, but my local parts stores only have the
'glue'-based stuff.

So I'm now considering driving around without a heater until it's gotten
sufficiently warmer to repair it. Maybe I'll do the driver's seat heater
first...
