    I have two older Escort models on my dash, one 3 band and one laser.  I
wired them in as to eliminate the cord mess coming from the ashtray.  They
worked very well up until last year when the 3 band just doesn't do it
anymore.  It barely gets a signal from anything but supermarkets and
flashing signs.  Escorts are good, family has gone through at least 5 or 6
and all have been good.  Valentine One is the best though.
    Speaking of speeding I got pulled over today on the Cross Island Pkwy.
doing 77mph in a 50mph zone.  I admitted to the speeding, gave all the
proper documents, and was polite; policeman kindly told me to slow down and
let me go without a warning or a ticket.  Lucky me!  Guess the best way to
avoid tickets is be friendly or not speed:-)
