linda, a local wrecking yard here (niagara falls area) sells guaranteed used
trannys for $250.00 canadian.....the problem with the differential seal can
apparently be prevented by using synthetic diff oil. is your mechanic
willing to pick up parts at a wreckers? i'm sure the prices elsewhere are
similar. that way your big expense would only be the labour and a few
incidentals.
