Advice: Alarms

Time to protect the investment, as they say.  Actually, it's to reduce the
wear and tear on my lock cylinder mechanism on the 90q20v.

So, any suggestions?  I'd love to do the install myself, so I guess it'd
be better to get a cheaper and less complicated jobbie instead of the
super-duper call-you-when-I-get-stolen kind.

I'm considering:
Avital Phoenix^2
Viper 300ESP

I figure I'd just get the alarm part as well, instead of going the Autoloc
route of only having remote entry.
