I believe rally racers do it all of the time, for exactly the reasons
you've stated. BTW, my 200 has more ground clearance than my 4K EVER did.
Have you thought of a 5KW or 100/200 Avant (+ coil-overs)?  Probably alot
easier to find than a Quantum Synchro. (Too bad used Volvos X/Cs aren't
just all over, huh?)
