Wow. I'll remember if I ever drive in Holland to rent a puny diesel so I
can't speed!
Actually here in LA it's a bit similar. When the freeways aren't jammed
(that's about 1 hour a week!) one can speed. But since there's so many
cars, radar is useless. So the CHP does WWII P-51 air patrol--they weave
slowly in the slowest lanes, on and off exits to/from freeways, to catch
those not paying attention & speeding in the left lanes. I've watched from
behind (luckily), pretty sneaky.
