On long drives on interstates, I find a CB radio tuned to channel 19 better
than any radar detector. In fact I just drove from LA to TX and back over
the holidays without a radar detector but with a CB. My old passport went on
the blink and I turned it off. My "average" speed according to my GPS was
74.5 MPH. I cruised as high as 95 and let the truckers tell me where the
"Bears" were.
Very helpful -- No tickets.
