Yea, that stinks.  Seems you're on the wrong end of supply and demand there!
But like you said, the import shop charges more than the dealer.  That's 
pretty
telling,  If the dealer could do the work right the first time, and people 
had confidence
in them, the import shop would have to charge less than the dealer to stay in 
business....
