The level is indicated by two illuminated segments in the display. When the level in the tank falls below 2.6 gallons US (10 litres) the two segments and the fuel pump symbol will flash. If the level drops below 1.3 gallons US (5 litres) the segments will be extinguished but the fuel pump symbol will continue to flash. Processing of the signal from the fuel tank sender is dampened to prevent the display from fluctuating. | |
The engine coolant temperature will also be displayed by two illuminated segments. The gauge has a range from 122°F (50°C) to 248°F (120°C). When the temperature is below this range, the two leftmost segments will light up. During the transition from cold to normal temperature (124°F, 51°C) a third segment will light up. After the engine reaches normal operating temperature, the display will show two segments. If the coolant temperature approaches 248°F (120°C) the four rightmost segments will light up. If the temperature continues to increease or the coolant level warning switch closes, these segments will flash. |
