Audi ur-quattro RR (20V) Engine Motronic Tests

The switch lead should be at least six feet long - the injector tests are triggered, after the diagnostics have been started, by the throttle switch; but the later tests require the switch to be operated from the engine bay.

3mm male loudspeaker connections are ideal for the ends of the switch and diode leads. Maplins sell "12V" LEDs that already contain a ballast resistor.

• Diagnostic plugs in left footwell
• Ignition off
• Bonnet open
• Diode probe point to upper black, other lead to upper blue
• Connect switch to lower black and lower brown
• Close switch and turn ignition on
• Code 4411 flashes - if not, reverse diode probe
• Finger on #1 injector - open and close throttle manually
• #1 injector pulses 5 times
• Repeat for #2, #4, #5, #3 injectors
• Test switches to idle stabiliser valve - 4431
• Close switch 4 seconds
• 4343 Carbon Canister
• Close switch 4 seconds
• 4442 Wastegate Frequency Valve
• Close switch 4 seconds
• 0000 Memory cleared
