The right undertray performs several important functions, most notably acting as the lower wall of the intercooler (charge air cooler) plenum chamber and connecting the oil cooler to the right wheel well low pressure area. Later versions have a grill to protect the oil cooler from stone damage. It is made of pressed fibre for noise suppression purposes.
