Testing the oil pressure sender
- Check engine correctly filled with oil
- The oil pressure warning light (K3) must light when the ignition is switched on - otherwise check oil pressure sender G10 and controller J114
- The engine must be warm - radiator fan must have run at least once.
- The engine rpm indicator must be working
- Contact G is connected to the oil pressure sender
- Pull wire off terminal G of the oil pressure sender
- Connect an ohmmeter between terminal G and chassis ground
- Engine off - 5 to 10 ohms
- At idle - 70 to 120 ohms
- At 3000 rpm - 170 to 200 ohms
- Connect an ohmmeter between terminal WK and chassis ground
- At idle - 0.0 to 0.5 ohms
- Engine off - infinity
