Fuel Injection System - Cleanliness

Always observe the "five rules" of cleanliness:

1. Always clean connections and their immediate area before undoing them
2. Place removed parts on a clean surface and cover them. Use foil or paper, never rags
3. Seal all opened connections, e.g., with foil, when the repair cannot be completed immediately
4. Only fit clean parts:
   • Open the packaging immediately before fitting the part
   • Never use parts that have been lying around unpacked, e.g., in a toolbox
   • Never use secondhand parts
5. When the system is open:
   • Avoid using air tools
   • Try not to move the vehicle
