[200q20v] Crankcase Breather Hose

What will a leaking crankcase breather hose do?  What are the symptoms I
will see?  Anything major?  Looks like mine has been in bad shape for a
while, wondering if that might explain a)poor mileage b)ocational stalls
when going from high boost to low load (though I think that is the TBV).

Just wondering.  Getting a new one, just courious what difference, if
any, I can expect to see.
