[200q20v] Drivers window problem

Hello,

New to the group.  Just picked up a 91 200q in Minnesota and brought it back to Montana.  We have some great open roads
for this car.  Remember the Montanabahn?  But, local knowledge of Audis is not real high.  I seem to have a problem with
the drivers window.  It worked fine for the first few days that I had the car, but now it only rolls down about half way and makes
some pretty bad sounds while doing it.  It has a harder time going back up as well.  I'd just like to have some idea of the problem
before I go to the nearest Audi dealer to get this fixed.
