I have the Solo 2000 rule book, it says that rating SA 1985 is legal, but 
will not be when SA 2000 arrives (it acknowledged that it would be arriving 
that year). So SA 1990, SA 1995, and SA 2000 are reasonable. Nowhere does 
it mention the fire-proof-ness of helmets. (see page 60 of rule book)
This, however is only for solo II, and could be different than solo I rules 
(which I can't find a listing for helmets for). Solo II is autocrossing.

You are aware that you can borrow helmets, right?
