[200q20v] Driven

Just out of curiousity, did any of you get out this weekend to see Driven? I 
did, and I was really quite impressed. The racing sequences were well done, 
the accidents, predictably, were over the top, and I feel they did a fairly 
good representation of CART. I'll rank it up there with Le Mans and Grand 
Prix, adding that Le Mans had better more, and better racing, but Driven had 
a much more developed plot line and dialogue. 

Driven seemed to borrow a few basic elements from Le Mans. Stallone was, like 
Steve McQueen, a race driver with promise, their careers marred by an 
accident, although unlike Le Mans, Driven really failed to explain what 
happened with Stallone's character's fall from grace. Also, Driven's biggest 
crash sequence was also a little too similar to Le Mans' main accident for my 
liking. 

But, I had a great time nonetheless, the big screen, Dolby THX surround 
sound. My wife asked jokingly if we could watch tomarrow's Spanish Grand Prix 
there, since my 27" TV and pair of Bose speakers certainly won't be able to 
provide the same effect.

BTW, the F1 community is definitly recognizing Alboreto's unfortunate loss of 
his life at the hands of the Audi R8.
