Try turning on the radio while driving with the A/C turned on. You may
hear a crackle/snap/pop at the same time the car lurches, indicating the
problem is a voltage jolt produced by the A/C clutch. It's giving your car
an electroshock treatment every time it lurches if that's the case.
This matter is covered on Scott Mockry's wonderful website
at: http://www.teleport.com/~scottmo/index.html You specifically want to
look at the "click or pop" repair on Scott's site
at http://www.teleport.com/~scottmo/elec.html#click
