The molded plastic race Superior ball rod end was selected as the lowest
cost solution, inasmuch as there is virtually no motion in this joint after
installation.  This generic part is mfgd. by many vendors in all degrees of
sophistication.

That would be doing things the hard way!  Have you ever tried to ream SS?
It work hardens like mad and you will destroy the tubing first.  The EMT
cost is less than a buck.  Guilding the lilly can screw up the design.
