Ya, should take care of the clearance problem if you use a 1/4" socket. Honestly though, I was able to change the cap and rotor with the manifold in place. As far as the removal tool, the inside diameter on the cam seal is slightly smaller, so if they send you the wrong tool, it won't fit over the crank shaft.
I did replace the thermostat, kind of bitch to get to. If you do replace the thermostat, make sure you put the o-ring back on the correct side of the thermostat (water outler side, not engine side). I made that mistake and of course did have a leak upon warming up the engine. And no matter how you let the engine coolant drain, there's still going to be coolant in the head when you take off the water pump.
Bernie's sending me an injection seat that he has extra at the time, so more or less got that one straightened out. Just got my fingers crossed that it arrives today.
Hope this helps, and enjoy the maintenance!

Thanks for the tips, Derek- did you get your injector problem sorted out?
Check did go into the mail on Friday, if I haven't mentioned it before.
I just ordered from www.mcmaster.com a 10" extension and two 6mm hex sockets
for my 1/4" drive, so I won't have to fumble around assembling adapters.
I hope going to a 1/4 drive on the sockets means thye will be small enough
to avoid the clearance problems. Not sure if you've seen the McMaster site,
but it a huge online hardware store, and they are very fast with shipping.
I got the full tool set, though I do have a cheap 1/2' drive metric tool set
I bought from Harbor Tools a few years ago and could get the crank bolt off
myself. How do you tell the difference between the cam seal and crank seal
removal tools. Is it strictly that the cam is way undersized?
Did you replace your thermostat?
Thanks for all the help.
