[200q20v] Thanks ABS and UFOs

Coming home last night about midnite. Very rural road, speed limit 65 at night which I may have been 5 over. Come around a bend and all of a sudden, there is a herd of elk in the road. ABS let me maintain steering - I have no idea how I managed to miss them all, but there were at least a 1/2 dozen very close calls.

Tonight, I learned that quattro doesn't work in 15 inches of snow. Pulled over just a little too far to let a logging truck take his half out of the middle of the snow covered gravel road. Ended up high centered. At least the guy stopped and pulled me out, as it was 18 deg outside and at least 3 miles to the nearest house. And we're so far out in the sticks that cell phones don't work :-)
