A bearing supply would be a more likely source.  My point was that the
O-rings were still in good shape, and that I would not hesitate to reuse.

You are talking angular "loosness", which is gear set tooth clearance, not
bearing radial clearance.  This loosness exists to some degree even with new
steel gear sets.  IMO, 1 degree is not excessive nor a problem.  Yes,
retiming the static distributor setting can't hurt.  Clear and recheck the
fault codes for continued Hall error.  If so, consider replacing the Hall,
after checking Hall connector and continuity to ECU.  Further, IMO the oil
in the cap should not be the problem, just messy.
