Yes, it's a blown speaker ... actually it's a blown
amp, but they exchange as a unit for under $100 (or at
least they did ~3 years ago via Carlsen when I had to
do so. ' same passenger door speaker.)
Be very careful removing the door panel. Use a proper
tool to release the ~9 fasteners around the lower half
of the panel. Don't just pull with your finger tips
or you'll break the thin plastic panel like I did.
I documented this in the archives of that era.
Whatever happened to the plan to get that archive
combined with the current one?

Bose speakers have built-in amps, so just any old
speaker won't do. Strangely, though, this is one of
the few items that Audi *doesn't" (or didn't) charge a
ridiculous amount for. Last I checked, a rebuilt unit
was $75 or so.
