Gee, maybe we can combine boots and have one that stays down on both
sides, and one that rides free. 

The story, (mine is the same as yours, but floats right high), boot
frames have tabs that break, aren't availible without the leather and
have typical Type$$ Price$. 

One solution (haven't bothered yet, but saw it posted), silicone sealer.
It's not in the intake system, so it won't bung anything up in the
emmisions equipment. Easy to apply, easy to remove if needed, and
permanent enough. 

Will try it myself when I find time ......
