It's been 10 years since I ran these, but the D60 is very different
from the D40. I had the D60 A2s on my 84 4000Q and D40 M2s were
replacements for P700s (crappy in the snow) on my 911. The D40s were
comparable to the Pirellis in the dry and better when I got caught at
work when it snowed.
I don't know what may have changed in todays versions, but they were
apples and oranges when I used them.
I DO know the todays AVS Sport can be noisy as hell on concrete, the
tread on the intermediates may be quieter without the continuous
center tread element holding everything together in a resonant block.
