A friend just passed on a flyer concerning the "Gold Cup Historic Races"
this weekend at the recently restored and reopened Virginia International
Raceway in Southern Virginia this weekend.  Carroll Shelby is the Grand
Marshal and the schedule looks quite cool, with a collector auto auction,
car shows for race and special-interest cars, and races for the following
classes:  Historic Production, C & D Sedans; Formula Junior, Formula B,
Formula Ford; Vintage Production, Vintage Sports Racing, Shelby
Challenge/Shelby 289 Historic Series, Historic Sports Racing, Formula A,
Historic Production, Trans-Am and Exhibition Class (non-racing).
