[200q20v] Rear caliper overhaul

Hi Peter,

When obtaining a "new" 10 year old used car, I believe that it is always a
good idea to overhaul all calipers and bleed the fluid ASAP, expecting that
the brake system will be all sludged up.

You must determine if the sticking emergency brake is a caliper or cable
issue.  Easy test.  With cable unhooked from caliper, will caliper lever
return to the stop.  If so, not the caliper, but cable or cable adjustment.

Normally, no new parts are necessary to overhaul any caliper.  Just
disassemble, clean all parts in IPA, and reassemble using brake fluid as a
lubricant on hydraulic parts and graphite grease on the guide pins.  Bentley
has good info on this.  If you need to get into the E brake mechanism within
the caliper, let me know.
