I don't agree with this diagnosis. IMO, the A/C magnetic clutch
(dis)engagement (not power, but voltage) spike does not and can not cause
wide RPM changes. Radio interferance and other momentary bad stuff, yes,
maybe. The cause is the failed open circuit condition of a supression diode
in the AC clutch relay, which can be easily replaced with a $0.10 diode from
RC.
