I put in a 3/16th inch copper line years ago for about 90
cents, available from any home store. It is called a
refrigerant line, and is used to plumb water to
refrigerators. The internal diameter  is not important as we
are dealing with a vacuum here. The 3/16ths line mates well
with the other lines, and completely cures the problem.
