[200q20v] changing Euro light bulbs

Before you Yank on it, you need to push it in before you turn, there is a
copper retaining ring that is used to hold the bulb in place (Kind of spring
loaded). otherwise you will just break it...

You have to really yank on the retaining ring, it has two little bitty
handles 
and rotates about 45 degrees in the standard loosening direction (CCW from
the 
back) - I really thought I was going to break mine, had a friend with
smaller 
hands try too...the bulb just pulls straight back out after the retainer
comes 
off.

1991 200 quattro, 112k, is the A/C system with new comp. shaft seal holding 
vacuum?
1988 GTI 16v, 222k, H4s about 3 years older than the 200's and haven't
needed  
 to change them yet (all 60/55s)
