Brett,
Very good points, I'm not going to argue about them with you.
The reason I bring up track use is that I don't know about you,
but I find it very difficult to feel through pedal feel whether or
not the brakes are getting cooked. Once they get cooked, you know
right away- the pedal goes to the floor, you have very little
braking ability, etc.

I'd like to avoid that as much as possible. That's why I feel a lot
safer with overkill brakes rather than something that is marginal.
Our cars are big pigs to begin with.

Should we decide to keep the A4 and it becomes my daily driver, I plan
on putting BIRA system 3 on it so that I have enough brake capacity
as well, although that is a much worse case- the UFOs are far better
than
the brakes on the A4.
