A time to choose: to UFO or not to UFO

Obviously there are upgrade options.  These should be considered for
the long range depending on what you plan to do in the future and what
you can afford right now.

G60's are a downgrade in braking performance, however they do set the
stage for easier modifications later.  Right now though, they would
require
more work and parts than just rotors and pads as Taka indicated.

The least cost option right now is to retain the UFO's.
$600 for rotors and pads and 2-hours labor (conservatively speaking)
will get you back on the road and stopping confidently as Audi intended.

Not sure what your current rotors look like or if Big-O's opinion is
worth
considering.  If your pads went metal on metal on the rotors, then
they're
probably right.  What kind of noises are being made?

Where are you located?  If you're local, I'd be more than happy to help
replace UFO's and pads.
