Scott,
Where did you come up with a 30mm front bar? Was this custom made for you?
If so, what was the cost, and could one still obtain this bar? It would seem
to me that this setup might enhance the front end rigidity, and would be a
good thing since the swaybar is a stressed component on these cars...
Also, I've looked into the available springs, and to me, they all appear to
lower the car too much. IMO, if you look at a car standing still, and the
control arms are parallel to the ground, you're going to have bump-steer
problems.
Someone sent me a drawing of the front suspension on a racing 5000/200, and
it was interesting to see that they didn't bother with the type of setup used
in the "stock" car, and went to a triangulated control arm setup. To me, it
seems this is the weakest link in the 5000/200 front end.
Any thoughts?
