Bose Speakers Again

Hey all,

If you remember, about a month ago I had the squawking problem with my front
Bose speakers.  Well, the problem went away after about a day, but the
speaker never came back to being operable.

Today I got to digging into this problem and have pulled the speaker and
opened it up.  Even though people have indicated the capacitors would likely
be the problem, I'm not convinced that is the situation at this point in as
much as all of the capacitors look good, and there is not indication of
electrolytic fluid having leaked and made it's way onto the board.  None of
the pc-board traces looked to be broken.

So my questions are two fold:

-If a capacitor is bad, will it always leak fluid? and
-Are there people who have had the same problem, and been able to remedy it
with the capacitor replacement solution?

Also, went down to a local electronic repair store, and while the
communication was, hmm "laborious," the technician down there thought the
cap's were fine.  He also checked the caps with a meter (didn't figure out
what it did), and said they all looked good?

Connection on the door side of the lead looked good, so not sure where to
check now.
