Radio- Why not quality aftermarket?

You know, it's kind of funny, my main argument for keeping the bose was how
much work it would take to install a decent aftermarket system wasn't really
justifiable for me.

Well, now look at me.  Ordering caps, taking everything apart, resoldering
components on the board, etc.  Can't say that's not a lot of work.

I guess I can still resort to "it's extra money I'd rather spend in a
different way" as an argument.  That and at least with the Bose, I know what
I have and I don't think it's that bad, in fact I'd even say I think it
sounds pretty good, and if I mixed and matched aftermarket componenets, I
really don't see any assurance of the sound quality, imaging, etc.

At any rate, my decision is made yet again for more of the same...new caps
are on the way.
