Slightly off topic:
I have an 86 100 S Auto 3 speed  ~156K whose transmission now skips second
gear.
No slip in first (wheels spin easy) and solid upshift into Drive (above 25MPH
only) where I lift throttle to decrease stress on the car until rpms are
above 2500 and ~45 MPH.
Question:  is there a simple screen or blocked fluid path for the second gear
problem?  Loose band?
I'm not too at ease leaving the car at Aamco transmission with the overly
friendly staff.  The dealer is far too clostly for the fix. Any BTDThat?
