Tires too small?
Only if the 205 width is too narrow for your 7.5 rims.  A reputable dealer
will find that out for you.  As for running narrower in the
winter?...........best In my opinion for pushing through slush and snow to
make contact with what's important, the pavement.  Wide tires plane up on the
snow and thus aren't as effective.
I did this on my 4000Q every two years.  Bought new replacements narrower
than my "Street" tires.
