Where do I get the PlastiDip from?

I have seen those pieces painted black before and they looked pretty
good. I think that the prep is the key as it is with any paint job.
Might want to use a little rougher sandpaper or use a little steelwool
after the sandpaper. I would also recommend going to a automotive paint
supply place and see what paint they might recommend. Krylon and the
paints you get at Lowes are just not going to cut it.
HTH's,
Pete

How about a can of that truck bed liner material. I do not think it
creates a "rubbery" surface, but rather very hard and flat toned. I
also do not believe it is textured. The kits I have seen have a
texturing roller that does that. May be a good route because there is a
lot of it in a car and it's cheap. (well, cheaper than powder coating
anyway). Should be available from any car parts store and a truck
accessory store for sure.
Plastic dip for tool handles can be bought from places like Harbor
Frieght, but again, that's rubbery.
