Steel fuel lines rust out at the points the plastic retainer clips hold the
lines to the body.  I had a 4Kq that I had to splice in bits of steel line
at most of those contact points.  At the time, there was a nationwide
backorder for  those lines for that model/year. Seems the retainers also
retain winter salt/moisture and let it work on the lines.
